“Look where that got me.” Hestia sighed defeatedly. she clung to him. She’d failed, she hadn’t done what she’d promised to do and she had gotten lazy in what they’d called the time of peace and ultimately her daughter had paid the price for that. Hestia would change places with her in a heartbeat, she would glad endure a million tortures if it meant her daughter would be okay.
She just nodded when he asked if she’d prefer to sit down. Slowly, she untangled herself from Fabian. Pulling away from him, her arms immediately wrapped back around herself as she moved towards her daughters bed. She stood there for a moment, just looking at her daughters sleeping form, chewing on her lip. Her daughter had grown into such a beautiful and strong woman and to see her riddled with injuries, and knowing there were likely internal things going on too that they wouldn’t fully know about until she woke up. “You… don’t have to stay, if it makes you uncomfortable.” Hestia said softly, her eyes flicking back up over at him.
