Who: Lilu & Polaris What: It’s time the two of them had a long talk. Where: Polaris’ room; Malfoy Maner. When: Saturday Evening
Lilu could understand the complexities of a Mother-and-daughter relationship in a village as unstable as the one they currently lived in. After all, Lilu had been nearly shunned by some versions of her mother, and had only become close with the most recent version of her. But she didn’t want Polaris to feel like she did when she’d first shown up, but she was also terrified. She was barely six years older than the other girl, how could she possibly be a parent to her?
But she knew she had to try. And she had to let the girl know she was loved. And there were ground rules that needed to be set, despite the ages. And Lilu had been standing outside her daughters bedroom for the last five minutes reviewing what she’d meant to say, and then practically forgetting it all each time she went to knock. Eventually, she took a deep breath and knocked on the door, only as a courtesy really, before letting herself into the room.
“Hey love,” She said gently, smiling over at Polaris as she stepped in and immediately took the chair by the desk and perched in it. “How are you feeling? Can we talk?”
