It was sickening the way everything around here was so bright. He would have enjoyed having a few dark places to hide in. Hell, even the night club had to much gaiety for his liking. In fact, there was much around here that was too light hearted for him and the killing of simple bugs was getting boring. With a sigh he looked around at the the display of color and a he caught sight of an insect buzzing near a yellow bloom. With a quick motion he zapped it burning the fringes of the petals in the process. The corners of his mouth twitched with pleasure and he proceeded to hit the bloom and all the others on the plant.
Just as he could feel twinges of joy at the sight of the blackening flowers a voice interrupted his play. Turning he saw a young boy whom he did not recognize. "Trying to keep boredom at bay," he said as he targeted the last bloom on the plant so it could join in the fate of the others.
