"It's settled then. He won't return." Salazar was feeling a little better about things now that they'd agreed upon this. Maybe, in time, he's feeling on the matter would change, but not right now. Salazar wasn't the type of person who could forgive.
"How could we have known something like this would happen? This place can be wonderful, but it's also volatile. Sometimes I think it's safer in our time." They had famine to tend with, disease and persecution for being magical. But they never once had an army of demons attacking them, and their magic never suddenly disappeared.
