who Salazar and Rowena what: things need to be discussed when: Wednesday afternoon where: Rowena's office, castle warnings: maybe some mild language/ violent thoughts (on Sal's part)
Salazar was finally starting to feel better about Ava's condition, which meant that he was spending less time with her at the hospital. As much as he wanted to stay with her until she was discharged, he had things to do and he knew that she had other people who wanted to spend time with her.
Even though he had spent the past two nights sleeping in his own bed - as opposed to the chair at Ava's bedside - Salazar still looked sleepy and slightly rumpled. He was often woken in the night by nightmares, primarily one in which Salazar was chained to a tree and forced to watch as a wolf made a dinner out of his darling little girl. He had taken to wandering the castle at night, his sword at his side, counting things to try to take his mind away from the dream. He was feeling similar to the way he felt after his mother was killed, but now, unlike then, he wished more than anything that he had been the one attacked, instead of her.
Still dressed in his nightclothes, Salazar made his way through the castle to Rowena's office. He knocked on the door before opening it and letting himself in. He let any pretense that he was feeling perfectly fine fall away. Rowena was supposed to be one of his dearest friends. If he couldn't kept his mask on around her.
"I suppose you already know what I'm here to discuss," he said in their native tongue, as he took a seat in front of her desk.
