Draco stiffened a bit at the gesture, not because it was unwelcome or even because of the awkward glove, but because he still wasn't one hundred percent accustomed to sudden affectionate gestures. Feeling guilty, he quickly smiled and patted Ted on the back.
He thought Ted made it sound easy, but maybe Draco was the one who made everything so complicated. He couldn't help his feelings, but he knew he had to live with them. He was getting better, really he was, but some things just brought life crashing down around him. Surely he wasn't the only one who felt like that? "Well, I do like to think I add a little special something to people's lives," he teased. He appreciated his uncle's comfort. It gave him hope that maybe he wasn't doing everything wrong. Setbacks were inevitable, but Draco still felt a keen pressure to not let it get too dark again. "So, yes, their loss clearly." He laughed and stepped back from the punching bag. "How are you outside all of this mess?"
