He winced. He couldn't escape Death Eaters at the school or at home. Worse yet, they watched him, mocked him, waited for him to fail so they could kill him and his parents. But that wasn't all that bothered him. He was the reason, or a big enough reason, for people like Tracey being forced into hiding in their dorms. It was his fault students younger than him were tortured. He broke a safe haven and he couldn't even follow through.
He took a deep breath and forced the thoughts back. "Pretty much why I adapted to this place within a week back when I arrived," he admitted. "When home is hell, this place is paradise."
