He wasn’t sure if she meant the place was strange, he was strange, or maybe a little bit of both. He was sorry for the distance he caused and he recognized, in reality, it was almost like she needed to meet him all over again. Still, he always had a soft spot for those he grew up with in Slytherin. Who better understood the pressures? The fears? The triumphant? Hogwarts Houses may not have meant everything, but they sure meant a lot.
He was hesitant to leave her alone when she was clearly distressed, but he wasn’t sure if he was going to be the one to make her feel one lick better either. “I could take you somewhere,” he offered. “Pansy or…” He trailed off. “Show you around the place a bit in the process.” It seemed like a good compromise.
