His smile disappeared. Yes, he was different. It was scary running into people who knew his past. It was odd, but he feared meeting those he was close to once as much as he feared those who despised him. He often worried that he'd be perceived a traitor or sham or whatever else. He also knew he owed old friends an apology just as much. It had been a difficult conversation with Pansy, but they were past it now and close again, but would everyone react the same? When Theodore was around, he accused him of being two-faced and a traitor. Could Draco blame those thoughts? But was change two-faced? Was trying to make new friends and keep old ones two-faced?
"It is all true," he answered quietly. He didn't want to help himself to a seat so he stood awkwardly in the middle of the room. "The village pulls us from all different times.
