Adrian couldn't read what was meant by where Hugo stood. Was he distancing himself from Adrian? Standing in his personal space? And Adrian was at a loss quite how to react. He'd only dated women; blokes he met in clubs where the rule was that the closer they got on the dance floor, the more they were interested.
He offered up a wry smile. "You're the one who originally asked me to dinner. If you say it's a date, it's a date. But I should warn you I've never dated a bloke. I'm guessing there are different rules." He gestured down the road and took a step closer to Hugo as he did. "I'd rather talk at the pitch. I feel like I'm being stared at here."
