Who: Colin Creevey and Mary MacDonald What: A date (and snogging). Where: Her house, and then a frozen lake. When: Friday Evening.
Colin knew he had to step up his game, he wasn’t about to mess it up again. He arrived at Mary’s promptly after work with a Lily and Orchid boquet (Mrs. Malfoy had assured him that those were perfect winter flowers, than any girl would appreciate) and a fancy box of chocolates. He was nervous, almost as nervous as he’d been the first time, because now he was convinced that he was ruining everything, when he’d been trying really hard not to be creepy or sleazy or something. He was chewing on his lip as he knocked on the door, trying to keep the nerves off his face.
His smile was genuine, however, when she answered the door. His face always lit up when he saw her, because he genuinely got excited when she was around. He wasn’t about to start throwing around words like love (because it was probably too soon for something like that) but he enjoyed her company, a lot more than he could properly vocalize. “I’m sorry that I made you unhappy.” He said softly, holding out the flowers towards her, “I didn’t mean to do that, I like you a lot, and I would… I would be very upset if you wanted me to never talk to you again. I’m sorry. We can go ice skating now if you still want, before you change your time.” He chuckled then at his slight joke.
