"I don't know why. You're doing just fine," he assured her. There wasn't much to mounting a broom as far as he was concerned, and so long as she had a leg on either side of it, he knew he could keep her stable enough for her not to worry.
"You look like a pro," he added, grinning as he came up behind her. He swung a leg over and shifted close to her, an arm coming around either side of her to grasp the front end of the broomstick. "I'm going to need you to hold on, especially when we kick off, okay?" She smelled nice, he noticed, and she was warm so close against him like this- but he cut that train of thought off to focus on the task at hand.
"Ready? One, two, three!" On three, he kicked off with his heels, and the broom shot upward. He opted for a less steep angle than his usual knowing her fears, but they gradually made their way up above the roof line of the houses.
