Percy again stared at the now redheaded Lucy, and yes, he could see where his features came into play. He was amazed. He sat beside her and listened with rapt attention, noting her birthday. His facial reaction when he heard she was sorted into Sytherin was pretty much the same when he had found out in the real world; surprise followed by thoughtfulness. "Sytherin is a good House," he commented, trying to find the positive side. "Ambition is a very good quality to have. There were some who thought that I should've been sorted into Slytherin." He wrinkled his forehead at the comment about 'a problem child'. He hesitated and then asked, "What do you mean by that?"
Learning she worked in at a bakery in the real world, Percy automatically went into Father Mode, jutting his chin out and speaking with indignant authority, "You managed a bakery and they assigned you a job at the gym? That's ridiculous. You ought to be working with Hannah. She's the one who runs the bakery here. Put your talents to good use. I shall speak to Fred and George and tell them to change your assignment." This was Percy's way of telling Lucy he cared for her enough to stand up for what he thought was best for her - it was a possessive gesture he didn't make for just anybody. "What is the name of this wizard you married?" he asked, curious.
It was vague, but it was a start. Besides, Percy was content with the vagueness. He sighed with relief to hear that she acknowledged that he was a good father. "That's all I could ask for. This may be the first time I've met you, but I know how I felt with Molly when she was born, and I'm sure it applied to you... I only want what's best for my children, for the family."
