Oliver was out on his usual morning run. He'd left Comet at home, since the route he'd picked was still too long for the pup and it was cold enough that Oli worried about his well-being. Thus he'd left Comet in Percy's care and set out for a run on his own. It gave him a chance to think about recent developments in peace, without the constant distraction by his puppy. Running, or working out in general, always helped to clear his head and after the things he'd found about his future and Percy's future that was probably overdue. It still felt a little difficult to wrap his head around the fact that him and Percy were a little more than best friends now, no matter how little their routine had actually changed.
For a while after arriving in the village he'd been slacking with his training schedule, but he'd picked it up again some time later, since he had little better to do with himself. Now he was pretty much back to the level of fitness he'd been in before his arrival, which was good, considering the rather drastic change his diet had gone through.
He slowed down when he reached the beach after about half an hour. There was someone else a little further down the beach and Oli hadn't expected to run into anyone. Usually he didn't meet other people when he went running, although he did constantly change the route he went, just so he could get to know the surroundings of the village a little better. He approached the person, but didn't recognize the guys he encountered.
It was cold outside, so Oli buried his hands in his pockets and pulled his shoulders up against the chilly wind. "Hey," Oli called out when he was a few metres away from the other man, so he wouldn't startle him. He shot the other a smile and tried to remember if he knew him, or if the other was from some time in Oli's future or past.
