Even though he wanted to spend time with his family, Frank wasn't really in the mood for a party. It was nearing the anniversary of his torture - only a few short weeks away now - and as much as he tried not to be mopey, he couldn't help himself. Not wanting to be in a big group, Frank decided to take his dog for a walk instead.
It was Gandalf, Frank's West Highland Terrier, who noticed Moody first, standing on top of the wall. The dog didn't bark, only whined a little, to alert his master that there was someone else around. He had been outside long enough that his eyes were adjusted enough to know who it was.
"Captain!" Frank said happily, trying to get the other auror's attention.
