“Shame.” Rowena repeated with much less enthusiasm than her friend. She was glad she was there to help the group, but it had left her with nightmares for weeks. She had been brought up reading the scriptures, and she could not think anything but the devil. “Yes. I believe one hundred percent that it was.” She said softly. Her arms crossing awkwardly across her chest.
Rowena paid attention to the way he described the gem and nodded slowly. It didn’t sound too familiar to her, and she’d read about all sorts of known magical stones, like the Philospher’s stone, and the Gem of Avalon. She frowned slightly and nodded. “Red and hot to the touch?” She couldn’t help but frown a bit, immediately connecting it to biblical stories of hellfire. “Do you… feel differently when you hold it? Stronger? Braver? Angry?” She tilted her head at him.
Rowena shot a look to where she tied her horse. She ought to write a letter back to the castle, to let her husband know that she’d be later than she anticipated. She nodded at Godric though, standing and straightening her dress as she did so. “Lead the way, then, I suppose.” Rowena was not one to let a mystery go unanswered.
