"Oh," Cho said, unable to stop herself from showing her surprise. "You agreed." She didn't know anything about Draco Malfoy other than he was the boy in the year below her who she hadn't seen much of this year, though the year before, he had been in the Inquisitorial Squad.
She liked to think it was just Umbridge's influence, that people were hiding behind her power and bravado. But that was naive optimism at best - and also, thoughts for another time, because the fact of the matter was that her cabinets were empty of food.
"Well. Yes, that was the plan. I'd feel guilty if I let someone starve." Not that she even had any real responsibility for Draco and his choices, because she didn't really, but - "Have you never gone to the market with your mother or your father?" Cho asked curiously, giving him an odd look. "During the summer, my mother and I go to the market every Sunday... she's been trying to start her own garden though. She says there isn't nearly enough love put into commercially-purchased produce."
She knew, as did the rest of the school, that Draco's family was pureblooded, and likely very different from her own little mixed-blood family. And then she hesitated a bit; did he know her mother was Muggleborn? Chewing her lip a moment, she decided that it would be best not to bring that up unless absolutely necessary. And right now, it wasn't necessary at all.
