Dennis' cheeks coloured as patience was brought up. He could be patient, but most of the time he liked to be moving and kept busy. He didn't say that though. He didn't want Mr. Ollivander to throw him out before they even started. Besides, weren't most 14 year old boys ants?
"I can do all that, promise!" Dennis wasn't necessarily a clean person himself but he could pretend he was. Besides, some light work like that would keep him busy and out of trouble. And he could definitely remember to make Ollivander eat and sleep. They were some of Dennis' favorite activities!
Sheepishly, Dennis pulled the stolen wand from his back.pocket. He knew he shouldn't keep it there, might blow off his buttocks or break but he wasn't overly worried about it. Not with a wand that didn't even like him. He handed it over to the older man and turned away, embarrassed. Somehow, he knew Mr. Ollivander would just know it wasn't evenings wand and then he would be disappointed and kick Dennis out of the shop for stealing.
