Amelia hadn't been paying much attention to the shadows, but she had noticed that there was no one behind her. Tilting her head a bit, she jumped a little when Gideon came swinging at her. It only took an instant for her face to turn red and an indignant look to replace her smile. "Hey, no fair. You totally cheated!" she said, realizing that the apparated to the spot. Crossing her arms and plopping down in a swing, she stuck out her tongue at him playfully before she slowly beginning to drag her feet across the ground to gain momentum.
"I'm just never going to win against you, am I?" she asked with a hint of amusement to her voice. If anything she was happy for the competition and rush of adrenaline, but she had a jealous side that didn't like being the loser all the time. Sooner or later she'd beat him at something though, and that thought made a tiny smile sneak across her lips again.
"So are you gonna push me or what?" she joked, giving him a wink and biting on her lower lip playfully before adding, "Just don't make me go flying off. You've already injured my pride in our footrace, sir."
