A confused look took over Gideon's face when Amelia let go of his hand and pulled away from him. He wasn't sure why she did that, but he couldn't help but laugh when she finally explained herself. Joking about pushing each other on the swings wasn't childish enough, so she wanted to play 'beat me or you suck'? Fine. Gideon could play that game, although he wasn't even sure if he wanted to play along and run after her. Unfortunately for him, that decision was made when Amelia ran off after giving him next to no notice. His competitive side came out and he couldn't help himself. What could he possibly do when she'd already gotten a head start?
So Gideon did the first thing that came to mind. He concentrated on the space on the other side of the swing set, and he apparated. Amelia wanted to cheat by pretty much giving herself the advantage, so he'd cheat and use magic to get there first. Gideon popped up basically in the shadows behind the swing set, so chances were that Amelia wouldn't notice him. He was touching the metal bars on the support frame, though, so he was definitely there and he heard her comment. "Unless you're tricked and have to find another way to get the job done," Gideon said, still holding onto the metal bar but swinging his body so he came around in a circle towards Amelia. If he scared her, mission accomplished.
