"Being happy and sleeping are not mutually exclusive," Oli said. He reached out to pet Comet a little. "And he likes you, I know that. He's our puppy, you know?" Oli grinned a little at that. "I mean he lives in our house, so we're both responsible for him. Although, you know, I'll take the blame for any weird stuff he does. You know, since I'm the one that's confusing him."
"Well, no one's going to find out I brought you coffee and a puppy to bed, then." Oli sipped his tea again and looked at Percy. He knew Percy always did his best not to get involved in gossip, which was exactly the point Oli had been trying to make. "There was?" Oli made a face when Percy mentioned the gossip. "But c'mon, people didn't believe that, did they?" He shook his head. There had been more ridiculous rumours written about people before, it shouldn't even surprise him. "Right, of course. I mean they are annoying, aren't they? I don't see why people care for pictures of other people while they eat, or whatever." he shook his head. "Bloody rubbish, the press."
