"That explains the smell," Evan stated matter-of-factly. He followed Peter into the boat, then whispered 'Evanescom', waving his wand at the ladder, where it dissipated from sight, with a rather loud pop.
Rosier seemed wholly unmoved, as was his way; if one looked hard enough they could see his brow furrowed slightly more than usual. Rather than make the situation more difficult by continually warning of the many dangers Peter was going to encounter, and further waste their time, he was silent, checking the rudder was still secured, then casting a more complex nautical charm to dislodge the boat from the beach and take them out. Once they had reversed back far enough into the shallows, Evan finally glanced up from his glowing wand.
"Oh, and brace yourself. I suggest you sit down immediately." He cast the motion spell right after, and the boat accelerated to a speed far swifter than the first year rowboats ever travelled.
