"Didn't hear it until came in here," Oli said with a shrug. He hadn't noticed that Percy was playing until he'd come downstairs and actually seen him. He'd slept in, having no motivation to get up or even leave his room. He'd had a hard time falling asleep the night before, unable to shut down his brain enough to doze off. After finally getting out of bed Oli had used the bathroom and brushed his teeth so he wouldn't feel too disgusting when he was in the kitchen to make tea.
"just got up," Oli said. He didn't need to tell Percy that he'd been avoiding to leave his room. It was stupid and he didn't want Percy to feel any more upset. "How long've you been up?" he asked, rolling his shoulders a little.
