Oli, as someone who got along with all the Weasleys, always thought it was a shame that they didn't all get along with each other. It was easy for him to chalk Percy's seriousness up to his character and not take any offence from it. It wasn't as easy for the others, apparently. "We'll have to see. I mean maybe they didn't assign you another job?" In Oli's opinion that wasn't even out of the realm of possibilities. There was no use in worrying until they knew for sure what they both would get as jobs.
Oliver tightened his grip on Percy's shoulder a little. That had been the reason why he'd never pushed Percy to bring up that topic back in real time. "If you decide to do it, Perce, I'll come with you," Oliver promised. It probably wouldn't make things easier, but having someone there for support would still help.
The problem with this kind of conversation was that it could either solve all the problems or it would just makes things worse and Oli hoped, especially for Percy's sake, that this one would help straighten things out.
