Oliver nodded while he listened. "You know," he said with a sigh and patted Percy's shoulder a little. "I don't understand why people still try to get you to relax by playing stupid pranks on you." Back at Hogwarts Percy's determination to just get shit done had been what helped Oli to get through school. Quidditch had always been Oli's top priority and Percy had made sure that Oli would still do his homework and studying.Determination had never been something Oli had considered to make a person boring or stuck-up, because Oli knew about his own single-minded focus on being as good as he could be. Percy had done the same , just not for Quidditch. At the same time Oli knew why people considered Percy to be a spoilsport.
"That means this was probably revenge for making people work to be their best?" Oli asked and scrunched up his nose a bit. His team mates with the Puddlemere reserves had been the same, at first. They'd always pranked him during their first year, because despite being the new guy on the roster, Oliver hadn't had a problem shouting at others to do better. They'd called him 'Captain serious' after that. The reason why it hadn't bothered Oli as much as it got under Percy's skin was, simply, that none of those guys had been family and he'd never really felt excluded because he hadn't been teased more than anyone else.
