Ava smiled and nodded. She could understand house pride, and house glory. Even in her time, they often had friendly competitions amongst houses, friendly duels and other such things to occupy their free time. It was always something more when you won not just for yourself, but for the entirety of your house. Ava like that, because she liked being noticed.
"You'll enjoy it, I think. You seem like the physical type." Ava grinned. She liked showing off for people, and teaching was just another way of doing that, though she wasn't a particularly patient type of instructor. Ava shook her head though, when asked about the fight. "I stayed back, with arrows and my wand, when the castle was unexpectedly attacked. Other than that, Father did not want me having any part of the battle, and I respected his wishes."
Ava chose to ignore Oliver's talk of death, she no longer wished to think about it. Sure, she should be happy that Helga had no longer been suffering her illness, a nasty one at that. But Ava was a primarily selfish creature who just wanted those she cared about near her. She chuckled lightly at his question though. "I imagine it would be much like me asking how your family is." She smiled, "They are people. Great people, but people none the less. They're all brilliant in their own way, Helga was always smiling and kind. Always easy to approach, and often had a treat for you. Rowena is strict, but she's brilliant and not completely unreasonable. Godric is wild, and always has a story to tell. Father is just... father. We disagree often, but I love him."
