Greg was used to the kind of wide-eyed look she gave him when he stood up. Wasn't his fault his body never wanted to stop growing, though maybe it was since without work and going to the gym and all he'd probably be a lot skinnier. Maybe tall skinny blokes weren't so scary. He took a step back just to show he was pretty well harmless, and the apology he wanted to give just for...for being too big or whatever, was on his lips ready to come out.
But she offered to share space before he could stumble over an apology, and he found himself relaxing as she smiled at him. "Yeah, okay. Sharing's good." He turned back towards his little tree but hesitated, looking back at her. "Um. I'm Greg. Don't think I've met you yet." He edged nearer to her, just enough to stick his hand out to shake.
