Ernie normally would have joined the others for dinner, but he became absorbed in his engineering project near where Frillies used to be located. He tried to forget he was working close to where an "adult" themed store once stood and focused on the measurements he needed. He needed to make sure the poles for the new building would fit. Hopefully with some muggle technology and magic, he could get the structure to withstand any other natural disasters.
He was just taking the meal when Isabella blurted his future. Mostly, Ernie pushed it away from his mind. He liked Ana, but he had been in love with someone else in the village when all was said and done. Even with Helga gone, he didn't see reason to bother Ana. They were friends. Circumstances were clearly different at home so why bother pushing that sort of pressure on either of them?
The "thank you" died on his lips. He sort of shrugged and inclined his head. "You did know when you were here before, but it is not really something we speak on unless the subject comes out." Now that he found his voice, he held up the container. "Thank you for this."
