Laughing at himself was something that Percy had a very difficult time doing. Instead of making light of having to be a lounge singer in the village, Percy remembered his first reaction to being told his new job and said, "It was humiliating. They'd given me the job as a joke." He then glanced at Oliver, a little peeved that he was laughing, but he then puffed his chest out proudly and pretended that it didn't bother him. "However, I turned the tables on them and I decided I would not only accept the job but I would become the best lounge singer I could. And I must say, that I excelled."
What Percy failed to mention was how he had actually liked performing more than he expected.
"No, I don't think you'll have any worries, mate. You're good friends with Fred and George. They might even give you a chance to choice your own occupation. Since the village is being rebuilt, they've asked us for input and suggestions."
