To his reckoning, Percy hadn't seen Oliver in the several months he'd been brought to the village, so he was happy to see his friend. There wasn't many people with whom he'd show as much affection as Oliver's welcoming hug, outside of his family, but Oliver was a rare exception. There were only two people who probably knew him better than he knew himself, and with whom Percy could drop any facade he was presenting, and one of those people was Oliver. The time they spent at Hogwarts together created a bond that had only been broken after they'd left school to pursue their own career courses, but one which quickly reformed after the war.
The hug held more significance for Percy this time, knowing what their shared future had in store, and Percy couldn't help but wonder what life would be like... no... best not to dwell on that. Stay in the moment, Percy told himself.
He smiled at his friend, but it was a worried sort of smile. "It's confusing," Percy confessed, hoping somehow Oliver would not be too freaked out. "But urm... you've been brought here by some magical means to this... area... where we're essentially stuck. And people from different eras co-exist. For example, Fred and Remus... they come from a year before they died. As for myself...even though I don't look like I've changed much, I'm actually from the year 2005. Which is why I asked you the date before I came. I wasn't sure which Oliver I'd be meeting... a younger version or somebody significantly older."
