"Heaven and hell," he answered without much thought to it, but without emotion as well. "Mostly hell."
Finishing off the rest of his drink he made his cup disappear, and took the one Helena was offering him with a rather amused expression on his face. It was probably for the best though, only because she had just gotten over a life threatening illness. That's how he saw it at least, since a person actually died from it in the end.
"It's probably best that you don't remember most of it anyway," he said, a rather dark look flickering across his features. He didn't envy the people who had gotten sick, not by a long shot. He couldn't imagine what he would have saw had he started hallucinating like that on a constant basis. Seeing the girl... the one the demonic creature had annihilated in front of them turn into Marianne for a brief moment, well he had dropped off the face of the planet for a few reasons. "After all... it wasn't like most people were seeing fun happy times."
Trying to steer the topic away from that sort of negativity though, he gave her a warm smile before it turned into a slight smirk. "Thanks. Figured it would be too boring for you here if I wasn't around, really," he teased.
