Oh, okay. Cedric was glad his grimace was hidden over her shoulder, but his arms slowly moved around her anyway. Honestly, he needed this. He needed to remember that there were good people in the world and to try and block out the gory images that had been plaguing him the whole walk back.
He was reluctant to let her go, but he released her all the same when she pulled back, stained hands wrapping around the warm mug. He'd been about to thank her for the tea, when the wand shifted to his leg, and a warm, pleasant feeling spread up it. "Thank you," he breathed, relief washing over his features for a moment. It was still a little tender, but at least he could put weight on it when he moved to sit down, another slow process with his aching bones.
"It's so good to see you," he remarked, taking a sip of his tea. It gave him the tiniest sense of normalcy, and he clung to it. "I was worried."
