The simple gesture of holding her hand somehow made this easier to bear. Ginny didn't question how or why it helped, but it did. The redhead stayed quiet for a long moment, letting the pain settle into her chest and trying to keep the tears from leaking out of her eyes. She kept repeating in her mind that he'd just gone home. And he was safe and fine and good and he'd either come back or he wouldn't but somewhere, out there, she was with him at home and that had to be enough.
