Daphne was a bit surprised as he pulled her in his lap, but she didn't protest. It really was more comfortable, and, if she thought about it hard enough, she was getting more and more accustomed to being there. That thought should have scared her a bit, but surprisingly, it didn't.
She laughed softly from her position. "They should have done this before the beach," she said, dryly. "At least then we would have really appreciated it more." She sighed and settled a bit more comfortably. Maybe she might finally get some rest after all.
She could already feel her eyes getting heavy. "I know I said this a bunch of times already, but you're making sure to be careful, right?" This would hopefully be a moment of respite, but they both knew it wasn't over yet. "You're not allowed to leave me," she added, a bit sleepily.
