Amelia hadn't noticed how much she liked the feeling of his hand in her hair until he stopped, and she frowned momentarily at the ground. That was, until Gideon pulled her closer to him. She couldn't help herself as she wrapped her sort arms around his middle and pressed her face into his chest. Momentarily she choked back tears, but managed to stave off the flow once again and center herself. Though she knew he probably felt the catch in her breath and the hiccup sob that wracked through her body.
"I know you're making logical sense of course," she said with a yawn as he spoke about her finding something that would help her, "But my mind and body are both pretty illogical most of the time." It was true, especially lately. Especially here. Waving her hand at him though as to dismiss the topic as unimportant, she looked up at him from where her head rested. "Will you stay with me right now though, just for a while? It feels safer than resting alone." Of course she would understand if he didn't want too though. Amelia hadn't the foggiest of what was going on in his head, especially after embarrassing admission of her feelings to him in a moment of panic, but she certainly wasn't going to bring that up again any time soon.
"Can't go back to kicking ass without some shut eye," she joked tiredly, stretching out her legs in front of her. She winced slightly at her still healing side, but tried to ignore the discomfort the best she could.
