Who: Amelia and Gideon What: She needs someone to keep her from running into the woods and killing things at random like a madwoman Where: Behind the community center When: Early hours of day 5 before the water drowns out the community center xP
Amelia didn't even know what to do with herself anymore. Her thoughts were racing in a million different directions, and it was hard for her to sit still even when she knew there wasn't much that could be done at that moment. But what she did know is her niece was dead, her sister-in-law was sick, delirious, and in pain, and many other friends of hers were either too sick to recognize her, horrifically injured... or dead. She also knew her brother had to be losing it mentally, whether he showed it on the outside or not.
Though she wanted to stay with Eddie and Sally in the community center, she just couldn't. It was best for her to get away from the stifling grief and the feeling of sickness and general unpleasantness. So once Eddie had fixed her the best he could, she went out behind the community center and sipped on the small dose of sedative she had been given. She didn't take it all though... she wanted to be ready, alert. And with that, she fell into a shallow and fitful sleep.
A few hours later, she woke feeling almost worst than before. And the dreams that had plagued her hadn't been much help either. All she kept replaying in her mind was Susan's accident... the monster pulling down the ceiling on top of her, the weight of so many stones crushing her internal organs and head, and how Amelia couldn't get there in time to save her. It ate at her internally, and the more she thought on it, the angrier and less stable she became. Tears leaked from her eyes periodically, leaving faint lines on the light grime on her cheeks. She hadn't found time to bathe yet, though she doubted anyone really had. That was the least of her concerns.
Before she knew what she was doing, she pulled out her journal and told Gideon to find her. Because if he didn't... she had a feeling that she was going to run off into the woods and find those disgusting fucks... and kill every last one of them. Though of course, she realized that was not how it was likely to play out. But hey, a girl could dream. Plus, after so much pain and grief, maybe death would welcome her...
When she heard him approaching from behind, she did little to turn and greet him. Instead she sat clutching her wand in her hand so tight that her nails cut deep crescent moons in the palm of her hand and small droplets of blood rained onto the grass beneath her. Honestly though, she barely noticed she was doing it. Everything felt numb. Her mind, her body... everything.
Finally, when he sat down next to her she broke her murderous concentration on the far away tree line and looked over at him. "Hey," she said quietly before looking back at the woods. "You alright then?" She hadn't really given him a good look, so she figured it was only polite and human-like to ask.
