WHO: Romilda and Greg WHAT: Romilda will have vengance for her horses WHERE: Somewhere on the road through town WHEN: Mid-afternoon Day 5 of the Monster Plot RATING: PG
Between the moaning of her fellow villagers, the screams of whatever was outside, and the images of her dead horses when she closed her eyes Romilda got very little if any sleep the night before. In fact, the longer she stayed awake the more time she had to mourn her babies. As night faded and dawn approached she could feel the sorrow giving way to anger. That lead to restlessness as she took in her friends that were injured and the fact that Jamie had died the day before. She had to do something that mattered.
Finally, day dawned and it seemed that the worst had passed. Some time around late morning the doors opened and allowed the light in that unfortunately helped the screams reach her ears more easily. However, fresh air was necessary for those needing to recover from the illness that had befallen them. Romilda also knew there was a need for food and wondered if there were still some supplies to be had from the stores in town. After letting someone know where she was headed, Romilda set out into the depths of the town to look for sustenance.
She wasn't sure how long she'd been gone but Romilda had gathered quite a few items into a bag that she'd procured along the way. Suddenly a building erupted beside her and one of the monsters grew from the ground. She backed away slowly as it went to stand to it's full height. Dropping the bag she took out her wand and looked around until she found a downed lamp post. Using a levitation she hurled it at the creature which grunted in disgust at her pitiful attempt. As quickly as she could Romilda sent other items flying at it her rage growing with each item that hit. She was so consumed with her anger that Romilda didn't even notice that the creature had splattered blood onto her.
The creature lunged and she felt herself being pulled backwards. Yanking her arm away from whatever or whoever had her she screamed, "LET ME AT IT! IT KILLED MY HORSES!"
