Lee Jordan lost his flow. (commentated) wrote in fourteenshades, |
Lee didn't let Albus get too far. He followed the lad to his corner and, like he was ten years younger, gathered the boy into his arms and rocked with him. It was a force of will that kept his tears at bay as he held on. His family was hurting, and there was nothing he could do to take that pain away. Nothing but try to give him some of his strength. His physically strength. He wasn't sure how much emotional strength he had left, what with the memories of the last time he'd fought like this coming back to haunt him. He tightened his hold on Albus's shoulders. He started humming the song his mother would sing when he had a nightmare as a kid. He didn't know what else to do, but hold onto his nephew and let some of the tears fall.
