In celebration of his daughter's birthday, George has gone all-out for the village! Set up in the fields behind the stables is a smaller version of the water park from last summer, enchanted to glitter in all sorts of colors. Loud music from Roxy's favorite groups/singers is playing throughout the area, along with tables of her favorite types of food.
George knew his little drop of information about his plans for the coming week had...well, no, it was poorly-timed now that he thought about it, but he hadn't been thinking about it. But today wasn't about him or that or anything. It was about Roxy's birthday. They'd really come a long way, he thought, since when she had first arrived in the village, and he was glad for that.
A present table was set up for gifts and gags and whatnot. Last year, George had gotten Roxy a drum set. This year his gift was much smaller -- physically, at least. In a simple envelope with her name written on it was a key to one of the empty houses (number 25). Along with it was a note saying that when he came back, they would take a day or two and he'd buy her all the furniture, decorations, and everything else she wanted for the new house, including help with painting the walls and cooking dinner on the first night. And by cooking dinner, he really meant getting something to-go from the restaurant, but that was neither here nor there...
