The sign that Salazar posted on the door to the castle cellar clearly told any of the residents there that on this particular morning, there were not to enter. NO ADMITTANCE, it said in bright green letters, with the Old English translation underneath, and below that, in Old Norse, for Vogg. Today he was to be giving George Weasley an introduction into Dark Magic, and the thought had his nearly swelling with glee. He knew the other man's feelings on the subject, of course, but Salazar was planning to use this as an opportunity to change his mind. Dark Magic had saved his life on more than one occasion, and while he knew that it could be extremely dangerous, he didn't see it as evil. It all depended on the person casting the spells or brewing the potions.
"Which aspects of the dark arts are you most interested in knowing?" Salazar asked, sitting casually on one of the two chairs he had brought into the cellar with him. He had no books surrounding him with which to conduct this lesson. "I know you want to learn it to better understand the magic here, but quite frankly I'm unsure of where exactly you want me to begin. I suppose I could start with the things I learned as a child, if you wish." Salazar's was coiled lazily around his wrist, watching George and hissing softly. Sweet as far as snakes go, Circe was just curious about what her wizard was doing down in there. "There's also the defensive aspects of it..." Salazar was thinking out loud at this point, his mind racing with all of the possibilities.
