Some days, Daphne wondered what the point of having a town economist was. Everything was dictated - who had what jobs, what shoppes were open, what kind of wage everyone made. There were some opportunities, sometimes, like the brilliant ideas she and Fleur came up with by talking about investments and such and recreating certain shoppes, but when it came down to it, there wasn't much for her to do.
The up side of all this was that she adored her coworkers. She and Fleur had struck up a strong friendship due to being very similiar in nature, and Nate? Well, Daphne and Nate went way back, and it was nice having someone here in the village who was not only relatively close to her age both here and back home, but someone who was drama free. She liked that about Nathan.
Having spent much time with him, she was all too familiar with his Muggle contraption from the near future (an... I phone? If Daphne remembered right), and how attached he was to it. She got up from her assigned desk and walked over to his, her heels clicking on the floor. "What are you doing with your phone today?" she asked.
