ALBUS liked sleeping to the last possible moment so he groaned when his alarm sounded. He stretched over and hit snooze, but the sun streaming through his room made it impossible to catch a few more Zs. Oh, blessed sleep. When he slept, he didn't think. He didn't feel. He didn't want to be awake.
The sun definitely had other ideas. He sighed, hit the alarm for the last time, and pulled himself to his feet. He padded to the bathroom, brushed his teeth, and jumped in the shower. He emerged with a towel around his waist, but noticed the sun was still assaulting his room. How unusual. Even the brightest days didn't do that. He frowned and went to the window.
