Alphard missed the days when he was able to sweep into her home and wrap her up in a hug. Walburga had never been a physically affectionate person, but he had always been the exception. Always. He missed making Orion sneer whenever he was wildly improper, missed making Walburg laugh as a result. Nothing compared to his relationship with his sister. Perhaps they were codependent, but he didn't care to read into it. He just let her absence sit and fester with each passing day. His own thoughts turning over and over himself and his future and what it all meant. What he should do with it. When she opened the door, he found himself desperate for a hug. Desperate for her to promise it would all be okay, that she would fix it for him. Walburga had always sorted out everything for him. With her as an older sister, Alphard had felt invincible in his youth. Things had changed and he now longed for the simplicity of their youth all the more.
"Walburga" he greeted, trying not to strain his voice as he bowed his head in greeting and allowed himself to be ushered inside. Her outfit, of course, caught his attention and despite his nerves, he allowed a small smile. "You look lovely, as usual." he complimented, meeting her eyes for a moment before turning towards the sitting area when she gestured. "Alright, if you don't need help." Moving to take up a seat on the edge of the sofa, Alphard fidgeted nervously, tugging at the hem of his long sleeved shirt and trying not to over think this.
