Who: Andromeda Black featuring Dora Tonks. What: Andromeda goes to see her not so little girl in the hospital. When: May 1, in the wee hours of the morning, it seems Where: The hopsital Status: It's mostly a narrative, but if Phoebe wants to make it a proper thread, by all means.
In the month that Andromeda had been in this little village, he had grown accustomed to a great number of things. The different people, the fact that time made no difference here in the grand scheme of things. She had had a meltdown, she fell into a depression because the information really had been overwhelming, she somewhat recovered from it. While processing all of it hadn't exactly happened yet, she was working through it. There was a lot of pain that went along with knowing one's entirely family was essentially wiped out in the span of twenty some odd years. It was a hop, skip, and a jump away from where she was standing presently at sixteen.
Maybe that was why she had felt the sudden jolt inside of her when she realized that Dora was in trouble. Time was fleeting, and it was very quickly running away from her in the real world. Perhaps that was why people liked being here. They didn't have to face things head on. It wasn't a way to live, but if death was the only thing to live for, no, this place was a godsend.
Thankfully this had all happened after Bellatrix's party, otherwise she wouldn't have known about it. For a moment, Andromeda wondered if the sudden panic was something she would feel for the rest of her life. Whether that panic was something that she would feel when Ministry officials came to tell her that her husband and her daughter were dead. It made a large lump form in her throat, a lump that hurt to swallow down. She wouldn't be alone when that happened, she would be with a grandson, only days old. It was hard not to get angry, but the feeling had to be pushed aside. Instead, she gathered a few things and set off for the hospital.
This whole thing would have been easier if she could just apparate, which she realized she hadn't actually tried to do since arriving. She stopped abruptly and thought of the hospital, she may as well have given it a shot. At most she would lose a few seconds. Andromeda felt herself be pulled forward, and before she knew it, she was standing just a few feet from the entrance of the hospital. For some reason, this place seemed welcoming, even familiar. It was the first time she had been there since arriving, but it wasn't cold or threatening like most people thought hospitals to be. Not to her, at least.
Walking in, she asked for her daughter's room and was directed there. Having met Dora at sixteen was strange, the fact that she would now be seeing her as an adult was far more intimidating, so much so that she felt a few strands of her hair curl in anticipation. No time like the present, she thought to herself and she walked in.
Her first thought was that her daughter was beautiful, and she froze where she stood for a second, just admiring her like she thought a proud mother would. Andromeda dropped her small bag into a waiting chair by the door and cross the room to the bed her daughter was in. Dora was now taller than her mother, Andromeda guessed. It wasn't hard considering she only stood a few inches taller than five feet. Without a word, she found a small space on Dora's bed and climbed onto it. Andromeda's arms instantly wrapped around her adult daughter, and despite them being somewhat foreign to her, she hugged the older woman tightly.
"Mummy loves you more," Andromeda told her in a quiet voice.
