Draco might not have been the father Scorpius recalled, but Draco saw enough of himself in that face to want to protect Scorpius, same age or not. However, he reminded himself that he couldn't take Scorpius' choices away. For one, he wasn't old enough to tell another 18 year old what to do. For another, he wasn't going to be Lucius. Choices complicated life, but if Draco felt he had some growing up, maybe he wouldn't have done the bloody scary things he did. Besides, it was a date, not a wedding. Right.
"She is a very smart and kind woman," Draco acknowledged. "I believe she was the first to speak to me here." He slipped into the pub behind Scorpius. "I didn't peg her for appreciating wine though. You are going to take her out again then?"
