When Draco reached over, Scorpius assumed that as an opening to hug him. He'd always been a naturally affectionate child, and that hadn't faded much with age around his family and those he considered family. He flushed at the term though. "I try to remember to stop. Alarm spells are helpful for that, but I keep forgetting to set them."
He packed his things up quickly, organizing his notes automatically, keeping everything neat and tidy so that nothing would be lost and he could easily find everything later. "I can stop any time. That's part of the system, and this," he touched the spells he had to mark places, "will remind me where I was. I've gotten used to being dragged away from things all the time," he admitted. "My notes back home are neater, but they're also more extensive. I'm rebuilding now, and trying to decide if I ought to keep going with it, or if there's a point while I'm here." Once the things were put together, he stowed them away.
"Your timing for lunch is perfect." His stomach growled as if on cue and he grinned. "I sometimes forget, and I usually try to keep things around to snack on just in case. But I knew you were coming, so I didn't worry about it today."
