It was maddening to know how far under her skin Caradoc had managed to get. It was strange, too. It was strange to go from nineteen to fifteen to nineteen again. Only he was definitely from further in time than the last time. Obviously. Her heart ached at the thought that they couldn't know each other in his time. If she hadn't been so terrible, maybe she might have met more of Lily's friends and maybe they might have met, but then she'd have felt the pain of his death and who knew what that would cause. She didn't like where her brain was going, so she focused on him instead, on what was happening now.
"Good. Because I'll have them sedate you if you don't listen." She didn't argue when he draped an arm over her because she had missed being close to him. Her eyes closed and she bit down on her lip to keep control over her emotions. "I'm glad I'm here, too." It was stupid how much someone could mean to you. Even when it didn't feel like she'd been around him for that long. It was somewhere around two months now, but it felt both longer and shorter at the same time. "Try to get some sleep, okay? I'm not going anywhere."
