WHO George Weasley & Roxanne Weasley WHERE & WHEN Parking in the Rear, backdated to yesterday afternoon. WHAT Roxy has something to tell George. RATING Low?
Every time someone said those ominous words, that there was something they wanted to talk to him about, George got a sort of dreadful feeling that he had done something terribly wrong and offensive. So naturally, that was the case this time, although he couldn't recall doing anything too far out of the ordinary to warrant that sort of necessity from Roxy. She would've told him if he had, right?
He'd said they could meet up for lunch and talk about whatever it was, and so he had written her a quick note to meet him at the restaurant. As he waited, he ran through a mental list of everything that she could possibly have to talk about. Admittedly, it was a fairly sporadic sort of list, but he figured that there wasn't much point in trying to figure it out because he didn't know. To keep himself occupied until Roxy got there, George flipped through the menu du jour. His stomach grumbled; he'd not eaten breakfast this morning and now that he was smelling the food coming from inside, bloody hell he was hungry.
Still, a part of him did hope that this wasn't going to be a conversation about how Angelina had de-aged. George felt like rubbish enough from having had to tell Angelina all about her future, their future. He remembered what it had felt like when he had first found out, and how strongly he had reacted against it. He didn't blame her at all if she was feeling now like he did then -- but what he did hope was that they could put it all aside as much as possible, and continue on with their friendship. But then again, that left Roxy in an undesirable situation, but what could either of them do? George and Angelina were both from before anything even happened now. The best thing anyone could do, George thought, was to simply let their lives in the village take them where they would go.
It was just weird to be older than both Fred and Angelina now, but George had missed this younger Angelina -- a little closer to how he remembered her from the other world, and a little farther from the future that neither of them would have ever expected.
Seeing someone approach on the distance, though, George breathed in and then exhaled to clear his head. Maybe Roxy would want to talk about something else, other than the age changes. He certainly hoped so.
