"No," he answered as he retook his seat across from the boy Vogg. "My wife and her friends built this castle for the children. They use it as a school and for a place for those without any family here to live." He leaned back casually in his chair, relaxing completely. "You can stay here, you know. We have rooms, and you'll have regular meals." He made a show of looking over his shoulders for anyone who might be listening then leaned forward. "I won't even make you take a bath until you start attracting flies," he whispered dramatically before leaning back again.
He wanted Vogg to stay. He didn't like the idea of the child, even one who was used to nights colder than this, out in the woods on his own. "Or," Edwyn said with a slight shrug, "I can some help you make a sturdy hut, and you can come here to eat every night after the others have gone to bed. I'll let you in, and some meals might actually be hot." He gave Vogg a level look. "What say you?"
