Edwyn Ravenclaw, Duke of Argyll (supersagacious) wrote in fourteenshades, |
Edwyn was making his way back from his office in the village. There wasn't much for him to do, but he liked to make sure all of the books were up to date with the daily goings on of the inhabitants. He wasn't keeping a strict eye on them, but he wanted to make sure everything was recorded in case something should happen. It was always good to have an official account of things. Tonight, he hadn't gone down to the office until he had settled Helena into her room for the night.
He arrived to the entrance after a small, muddy person had passed through there. He thought he knew who it might be, so he followed quietly and quickly refreshed his memory on the Norse language. He arrived just as the young mad shoved the bread into his mouth. "Careful," Edwyn said said quietly in Vogg's language, carefully blocking any way out, "no need to choke on that."
He looked at the little Viking kindly, kept his hands loosely open at his side to show that he was unarmed, and moved to the ice box. He did not take his eyes off the child as he opened the marvellous machine and pulled the left over shepherd's pie and orange juice from within. He sat both on the table and retrieved a fork, which he laid next to the pie. He would have warmed it for the lad, but he did not wish to frighten him with magic. Sitting across from where he'd placed the food, Edwyn said, "Please. There is plenty, and you do not need to eat like someone will steal it from you."
